Michael O’Connor

President

Michael O’Connor founded M. O’Connor Contracting, Inc., (MOCC) in 1976, starting off in the residential sector of the construction industry and quickly expanded into the commercial as a full service General Contractor, specializing in all phases of Commercial and Residential Construction.  His primary philosophy is to always demonstrate the highest level of quality craftsmanship while surpassing clients’ expectations; this has been achieved by maintaining a highly qualified level of staff who strives every day to accomplish these goals. His diverse experience in the construction industry and fair treatment of customers has earned him great respect and repeated projects with Clients and Architects.

In his leadership role Mike is personally involved in all projects, regardless of how large or small, working closely with his team of Estimators, Project Managers, Site-Supervisors, and key personnel.  Throughout the years Mike has personally managed projects of all sizes and sectors, many vast in project scope, and complex in nature, with solid respect which laid the foundation for MOCC’s outstanding reputation.  Due to his strong leadership ability, he has been able to attract and bring in strong construction professionals, who carry out the same degree of passion and who continue and further grow the legacy that was started over 40 years ago, this is a true testament to Mike’s vision and understanding of the industry as we move forward.

Eddie O’Connor

Senior Site Super

Ed is a seasoned, tested and proven Site-Supervisor who has provided invaluable experience, support and knowledge to the MOCC team.  He is a hands-on Supervisor and is repeatedly sought after by repeat clients.  He is the true definition of a company man.  In sleet or rain the job comes first to him.  He is always accommodating to MOCC, Owners, Architects, and Sub-Contractors alike.

Ed started with MOCC in 1983, as a master carpenter.  He quickly enhanced his leadership talents and moved from foreman carpenter to Licensed Site-Supervisor.  His extensive expertise enables him to proactively identify potential issues before they become a real problem and a potential project delay, and offer early creative and practical solutions that empower the entire project team.  You can always depend on him to deliver a successful project with little or no down time delays.  He is trusted and respected greatly by all his peers whether they are Owners, Architects, or engineers to name a few.  Ed is directly responsible for the successful completion and delivery of on-time on budget, with great customer satisfaction of many of MOCC projects throughout his 30 plus years of service, all of which were diverse in nature, and too many to name.  He can be credited for much of MOCC’s successful journey.  Ed holds a Massachusetts State Building License.

Krystal Burrows

VP of Operations

Krystal Joined MOCC in 2006 with a background in residential building, and in 2009, she successfully completed the Construction Project Management Program at Northeastern University. Since joining our company, she has accepted additional responsibilities in project estimating and management and now manages the estimating and project management efforts for all of MOCC’s projects. Krystal’s project portfolio is a record of success and experience in building and leading teams for all types of projects large or small, and in many diverse types of construction projects including Residential Housing, Senior Living, Institutional, Historical Restoration, Educational, Healthcare, and many others.

Her many years of managing large and complex construction projects in various market sectors, along with her attention to detail and ability to manage contractors, vendors and suppliers, has contributed to her track record of consistent on time/on budget delivery, regardless of project scale. Krystal’s excellent communication skills and her ability to excel in customer service relations are all keys to her success in project management with owners and architects by being able to execute every project, working as a partner and advisor, earning their trust and building their confidence in knowing that they have a trusted team leader to lead them in the strategic planning, risk management, value engineering analysis, project planning, and project execution, of their project. Her successful track record in working and managing teams both in the field and office make her a valued team player and an asset to MOCC.

Siobhan Coffey

Marketing & Development Coordinator
Siobhan began working with MOCC at a young age helping her parents in the front desk capacity. Siobhan took time off to raise her children and returned to MOCC in 2016 as Office Manager with the continuous growth of MOCC, Siobhan has taken a more active role in the day to day running of the company in Subcontractor relations and is currently working on the business development efforts to continue ensure that her father’s legacy continues well into the future.

John Freer

Assistant Project Manager

John Freer is a dedicated Assistant Project Manager with a deep understanding of multiple facets of the construction industry, including development, finance, sustainability, and management. John possesses a passion and talent for construction, which has guided him in continuing his education by enrolling in the Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate Development program at Georgetown University. During John’s career, he has demonstrated a keen attention to detail in assessing customers’ needs to ensure their quality standards for services are met to drive customer satisfaction. While adhering to a detailed oriented due-diligence process, mixed with a capability to multi-task while maintaining a flexible, organized, and responsive work environment, John has a proven record of meeting budget requirements throughout his career while meeting project deadlines. By leveraging strategic sales techniques, strong written/verbal communication style, analytical skills, and adaptability, John has proven he can take on the fast-paced construction industry’s evolving challenges, trends, and complexities. 

Joseph O’Connor

Director of Field Operations

Joe joined MOCC in 1978 and has over 50 years of experience in the construction industry and effectively manages all aspects of construction projects from start to finish with his strong knowledge of means and methods, especially his invaluable wealth of knowledge and expertise in historic restorations. As Director of Field Operations, Joe is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities and On-Site Supervisors throughout the duration of the project to ensure that the quality of the project and client expectations always meet MOCC’s standards. Joe always demonstrates a commitment to excellence with a strong sense of both leadership and team effort, he is an excellent mentor to all of MOCC team members. His vast experience is complimented by his eye to identify unique challenges that may impact the projects overall performance and creatively resolve such issues.

Prior to MOCC, Joe was a Senior Foreman Carpenter for many Archdioceses Historic Institutions throughout Massachusetts, where he specialized in steeple preservations. He holds a State of Massachusetts Unlimited Construction Supervisors License.

Michael O’Connor Jr

Treasurer & Project Manager

Michael Jr has been a part of MOCC since a very young age, starting out working with his father in the field during school vacations and at night helping out in the office.  Throughout the years, he has gained a strong work ethic and valuable experience in all aspects of the construction industry.  Michael is actively involved in the business with his father assisting in all financial, scheduling, and growth decisions of the company.  As Project Manager, Michael has successfully managed building projects of all types including Residential Housing, Libraries, Institutional, Historical Restoration,  and many others.  He has a strong ability to communicate with others and establishes great working relationships with all project partners. He is a graduate of Boston College and has completed the Project Management Program at Northeastern University.  He has a thorough understanding of every facet of the business and his knowledge is a true asset for all members of the team.    As the next generation of MOCC, Michael’s goal is to continue growing the business with our excellent client satisfaction.

Elizabeth O’Connor

Controller

Elizabeth O’Connor has been the Corporate Clerk and Controller of MOCC since its inception in 1976 and is a graduate of Emanuel College.  Throughout the years Elizabeth has been an influential part of the success and growth of our company.  She works one-on-one with the MOCC leadership team, project managers and office staff for all accounting, budgeting, billing, and bonding needs for each and every project.

Nicholas Damaskos

Senior Project Manager

Nick is resourceful, forward-thinking, and productive Senior Project Manager with thirty plus years of comprehensive experience in general contracting and construction management. Ability to plan, organize and control large staff projects and develop procedures for implementation, while ensuring project timelines and budgets are met. Effectively communicate direction, commit people to action and convey information in easily understood format.

Bhanu Chanda

Project Manager

Bhanu joined MOCC in October of 2022 as a Project Manager. He graduated from Bradley University in 2017 with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering. Bhanu’s professional career started as a civil engineer in India and estimator/ project manager in USA where he worked on multiple ground up and rehab projects.  His active role on our construction projects extends from the date of contract signing through the successful turn over and closeout completion with daily coordination of subcontractors and vendors. His effective communication with the owners, architects, engineers, and consultants makes him a valued member of MOCC.
