General Contracting
As your full service, multi-market construction firm, we pride ourselves on being your ally through the total construction process. Our experienced team of over 20 employees is ready and prepared to meet the challenges of your project. We will secure and provide necessary permits, materials, labor, and equipment. All outsourced services will be done by highly qualified and selected subcontractors who will be managed by our superintendents. M. O’Connor Contracting has managed and completed construction projects ranging in size, location, cost and complexity throughout New England. Our experience has been in sectors such as: multi-family residential, historical, tenant fit-up, religious, corporate and more.
Pre-Construction Services
Our experienced professionals determine how best to approach the physical development and construction process.These services are unique to each client and in line with the specifics of each project. Our team approach is to work hand in hand with the client and architect throughout the design concept, leaving room for possible schedule adjustments and any challenges that can arise. And we review the documents with you, so everyone understands how the project will come to fruition. You will know the detailed strategy our team will follow to execute a successful construction plan.
Pre-Planning Services
The careful decisions made in this initial phase will be crucial for the success of your construction project. Our team will use our clear understanding of our clients' needs and strategize to make your construction vision a reality. During this phase we will discuss location requirements and limitations, such as: any historical value that needs to be preserved, energy or sustainability initiatives that need consideration, and any obstacles that we might need to prepare for.Then we gather materials options, analyze how they effect the estimate and find the subcontractors who can best work with this initial project outline.
Cost Estimating
With over 40 years of project experience, we pride ourselves on the ability of giving our clients Cost Estimates that are detailed, realistic budget proposals. Estimating is one of the most important steps in successful Project Management. Through realistic budget estimating we can focus on project feasibility in regards to cost, size, and sophistication of the project before we break ground. All bid documents will be reviewed to prevent unnecessary edits or costs. Every team member is made aware of estimate and budget expectations so they can make informed choices during the building process.
Project Management
Our Project Managers are responsible for leading your project from its inception to completion by staying on track with schedules, plans and budget detailed during the pre-planning phase. We represent and advocate for the client on every level, including planning, execution and managing the people, resources and scope of the full project, start to finish. We will work with local authorities to coordinate utilities, deliveries and traffic management. Our Project Managers have the ability to create and execute clear and attainable objectives necessary for successful completion, while maintaining high safety standards and exceptional quality control.
Value Engineering
Targeting value creativity and cost reduction, our team uses their extensive experience and knowledge of the construction industry, means and methods, state building code requirements, and environmental technologies to provide value engineering options that maintain the integrity and quality that the project demands. Our goal is to maximize function and durability for reasonable and minimal cost to the client.
